Ashdown WW2 Camp

This is a great opportunity for military vehicle enthusiasts, memorabilia collectors and re-enactors to get pro-active.

With membership of our unit we are asking for you to get stuck in and to make a contribution to area funds of £12 for a year. These funds will go towards the administration/ running costs of the South Midlands MVT. We are an active and cost-effective club so we won’t be spending your money on badges, keyrings and newsletters etc.  As we need help with organising and arranging displays around the camp or in the show arena, group visits and raising extra funds.

We currently have a number of exciting projects on the go that would benefit from additional funding and practical help, such as building the ruins of a bombed out building, painting duties, restoring some railway freight cars and erecting more Nissens! We recently found and re-built our 5th Nissen and turned it into barracks (Apr 09) and just dismantled two more Nissens from a farm locally (Oct 09).

In return for your membership contribution you will get a jolly good handshake, a great deal of fun, access to members who have a wealth of military vehicle experience to share and the chance to share the esprit de corps in developing the South Midlands Area of the Military Vehicle Trust.

WHEN & WHERE DO WE MEET?

Monthly, on the 2nd Monday of the month at 20.00HRS, in the Nissen Hut. Members not expected to attend every meeting. (So the next mtgs are on the 9th November & 14th December 09)

Located Badsey, nr Evesham.
